These terms cover use of this website. Project work is governed by the separate written agreement signed for that engagement, which takes precedence over anything here.

Using this website
You may use this site for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or use automated tools in a way that degrades service for others. Reading and indexing the site, including by search engines and AI answer engines, is permitted within the rules published in our robots.txt.
Content on this site
The text, design, code and images on this site belong to Soft Rivox Tech unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote from our articles with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions as your own.
Where we describe timescales, processes or approaches, those are drawn from how we typically work. They are given in good faith to help you plan, and they are not contractual commitments until they appear in a signed proposal.
Enquiries and quotations
Nothing on this site is a binding offer. Prices and timelines become fixed only in a written proposal we have issued for your specific project. A proposal remains valid for the period stated on it.
Information you send us through the contact form is treated as confidential and is handled as described in our privacy policy.
Project work
The following reflects how we normally contract. The specific agreement for your project governs, and where it differs, it wins.
Ownership
On final payment, intellectual property in the work we produce for you transfers to you. That includes source code, repositories, design source files and documentation. Hosting, domain and advertising accounts are set up in your name and handed over.
Two standard exceptions: third-party components keep their own licences, and generic techniques, know-how and non-client-specific tooling remain ours to reuse.
Scope and changes
We quote a fixed price against a written scope. If the scope changes, we agree the change and its cost in writing before doing the work. You will not receive a surprise line on an invoice.
Your responsibilities
Projects depend on timely input: access to systems, content, and decisions from someone empowered to make them. Where a project stalls waiting on these, timelines move accordingly.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in your proposal, typically staged against milestones. Late payment may pause work. We do not withhold delivered work as leverage, and we do not retain credentials to systems that belong to you.
Third-party services
Projects often depend on services we do not control — hosting, payment providers, app stores, advertising platforms. We will advise on choices and integrate them properly, but their availability, pricing, policies and review decisions are theirs, not ours.
Liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our liability arising from a project is limited to the fees paid for that project, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, where that loss was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing here affects your statutory rights if you are dealing with us as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies.
